Japanese Box

Available in 140mm & 200mm pots Buxus microphylla var Japonica is the most well-known of the Buxus varieties in the Australia. It is grown most commonly as a hedge in and can reach heights of over 2m. It grows best from Autumn to Spring and goes into a ‘dormancy-like’ period in Summer when the temperatures becomes too extreme for these to grow. In appearance the Buxus Japonica new growth is almost lime-green in appearance and after this hardens a lovely green colour appears. A stunning addition to any formal or cottage garden, the Buxus ranges are great additions for form and appearance.
